Want to make the best of your weekend visiting Prague? Then you’ve come to the right place! We’ve put together a list of 7 fun activities to do while you're exploring this beautiful city. We’ve mixed in some outdoor and indoor activities so no weather can stop you from having the best time.
Take a look at all the different activities down below and see which one fits your day and makes for the best possible time spent in Prague. Most activities will incorporate laughs, beers, food, and views in some way shape or form. We want you to see the city through the best lens and have a great time! You can also find all of these and more on our map.
No matter what time of year you visit Prague, the Charles Bridge is something you just have to see and walk across. From the Charles Bridge, you’ll get one of the most picturesque views of Prague Castle along with Old Town Prague.
One thing a lot of people don’t know is that the famous John Lennon Wall is only a short walk from the west side entrance of Charles Bridge. So don’t forget to make your way to the Lennon Wall and even bring some spray paint if you want to add your own piece of art to it. Don't worry, it’s totally legal and everyone does it.
The Dancing House isn't only one of the most iconic buildings in Prague. It also has a rooftop bar that overlooks the Vltava River and Prague Castle.
It’s something most people don’t know about. Everyone comes for the picture of the building from down below but only a few make their way to the top of the Dancing House to take in the views of the city.
The entrance fee is that you have to buy a drink of your choice which is totally fair for the views you get from the rooftop. After you leave, don’t forget to take a touristy picture with this funky building.
Havlicek Park is located in Prague 2 which is known as the “Wine Castle” neighbourhood. Actually, still to this day, this park has a vineyard right in the centre of the park.
During the summer they open up the winery and let you sit between all the grapevines sipping on locally made wine. On top of that, they have their main winery at the top of the hill where you can enjoy wine and take in the view of the south of Prague.
You can also take a stroll through the park as it is beautiful to walk around. You’ll find beautiful nature and even a famous man-made cave (Grotto) that is worth exploring.
Just to clarify, there are many “this may be the best view of Prague” spots! Petrin is no different. The fun thing about heading up to the top of Petrin Hill is that you can take the famous cable car. You’ll see the Prague Castle on your way up the hill with the cable car and its pure magic.
Once you’ve made it to the top, enjoy the views. If you’re daring enough climb up to the top of the Lookout Tower overlooking Old Town Prague. Bonus info: The Lookout Tower actually resembles the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Check it out and you’ll see what we’re talking about.
At least one museum had to make the list. Since most of the day you might be outside it’s good to have an indoor activity in there somewhere. The National Technical Museum does not disappoint. You will see the evolution of everyday tech and many other random pieces of technology and how they have evolved over the years.
Inside the museum, you will find all different modes of transportation and you’re in for a surprise. It’s crazy to think how much bikes, cars, and even trains have evolved over the years.
It’s fun and interesting at the same time and this museum will leave you in awe from start to finish. And then it’s really fun to see tools and tech items that you actually used when you were younger. It's a totally underrated museum in Prague!
Deep down we all know Prague is also famous for its cheap beer and amazing parties! Of course, architecture, history, and all that is important but so is beer and having a great time! That’s why the Drunken Monkey Pub Crawl is so popular here in Prague. Don't miss the nightlife of Prague!
There’s no better way to experience the nightlife scene with a bunch of other travellers and tourists than with the company that specialises in it.
Enjoy a few hours of drinking and socializing at the Drunken Monkey Pub before heading out on one of their pub crawl tours around the historic Old Town.
So far we’ve covered all the beautiful places and where to get a buzz on, but you might get hungry at some point too! When that happens, head to the Manifesto Market in Florenc and pick between all the different kinds of food the market has to offer.
At the Manifesto Market, you can find anything from greasy fries to Poke bowls to traditional Czech food - all served from container stands! This place has such a cool vibe to it and it’s definitely worth checking out at least once during your weekend in Prague.
