The Museum of Modern Art has More than 800 works of Azerbaijani young artists and sculptors working in the avant-garde style. The National Museum of Art of Azerbaijan is the museum of Azerbaijani national values and the preservation of universal cultural heritage. The museum's first exhibits were collected during expeditions and purchases from the people. In 1937, the museum opened its first exposition. İn 1951, the museum moved to De Bour mansion, which was built in the baroque style in the late 19th century. The museum displays artworks covering various periods of Ancient East and** Azerbaijan, Russian and Western European art. Over 3000 works are exhibited at the museum's permanent exposition, which is organized in 60 rooms. In the first building, seven rooms are dedicated to European art, 10 to Russian creations, and others to the art of Iran, Turkey, Japan, etc. Eight places are devoted to antique and medieval Azerbaijani artworks and 30 to the creativity of Azerbaijani artists and sculptors. Lastly, there are two areas of ancient Azerbaijani silks**, borrowed from the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
Baku Museum of Miniature Books is the sole museum of tiny books in the world, which is located in the old part of Baku, Inner City. A huge collection of books of various subjects and in different languages is painstakingly collected and lovingly demonstrated in a small cosy room. The exposition of the museum consists of 27 showcases. There are 3750 miniature books published in 73 countries. There are more than 5,300 miniature publications in the museum's book fund. The founder of the museum, Zarifa Salahova, had gathered them over the period of 30 years
