Armenia is a country with rich nature. It is very mountainous, so on your way to each region, you will see numerous mountains, hills, gorges and rivers all around. Among those mountains, on the way to the city of Garni, there is a hidden resort, where I will recommend you to stop for a day. It is called HyeLandz eco-village resort. In total, you will need some 25 minutes to get there by car from Yerevan. This will especially interest those who are passionate about eco-tourism, as this was established for a reason to promote ecotourism in Armenia since the country has all the natural resources for that.
To start with, HyeLandz eco-village offers accommodation at reasonable prices. As we are talking about eco accommodation, it is worth to mention that the building itself is from Armenian tufa stone. The rooms are fully equipped, and they have recreational facilities. Interior of the rooms reminds of an old village style, though with new and eco furniture. From the windows, you have a nice view of the garden of the hotel and a small gorge that is in front of it.
A café, that is located in the territory of the eco-village resort, has a very nice atmosphere. It is usually calm inside. In summers, it is open-air, and in winter, they close the balcony to protect the visitors from the cold weather. In general, it is a fantastic place to read a book or newspapers while having a cup of coffee or tea. Here, you feel like being a part of nature, as all you see around are the trees and flowers. The view is nice, especially from spring to autumn. A restaurant is good for group gatherings. Here, you are offered eco food from the city of Garni. Everything is delicious, and for sure, everyone will leave the restaurant pleased.
I have to say that the garden of the eco-village resort is my favorite part, as here there are different fruit trees, vegetables and herbs. It really reminds of a village, especially when by walking around and enjoying the fruits that you collected from the trees, you bump on domestic animals such as ducks, chickens, dogs and cats. On the other hand, they have a separate place where they keep goats, donkeys, geese and horses.
A day in a HyeLandz eco-village resort on the way to Garni is a great way to spend your time. This place usually gathers interesting people, artists and many travelers from abroad, and you will also get a chance to meet nice locals and make new friends. From here, you can also get to the Temple of Garni, which is a** UNESCO World Heritage Site**.
