The crystal ship through Ostend

When I was walking around Ostend one day I noticed a change from the normal view of the city. All throughout Ostend, 40 different artists worked together to make the city a piece of art. It lets you discover the city in a completely different way. You can find a map at the tourist information center in Ostend. This way you can discover the street art on foot or by bike, on your own or in a guided group. It shows you very different parts of Ostend and lets you enjoy the beautiful street art and offers you some more explanation about the artworks. Because it's street art, it is completely free to watch and enjoy.

If you love art and theater, then this is the place for you to be. It is the big cultural center of Ostend. They organize concerts, theater performances, activities, ... all throughout the year. You can look up their program on their website. The building situated in the middle of Ostend,so easy to find and near the train/tram stations. Even the building itself is very beautiful and so you can also follow one of the guided tours through the building. They also have a tearoom/restaurant for you to enjoy during the day.

Kursaal Oostende

The Casino or "Kursaal Oostende" is the place to go to if you are more a fan of musicals or want to listen to the performance of a big orchestra. Every year around the months July and August there is a famous musical that comes to the Kursaal, which you can watch together with your friends and family. In those months there are also fireworks every Monday night behind the Kursaal, near the beach.

KAAP

This is the cultural centrum for both Bruges and Ostend. They focus on four major aspects: jazz, podium arts, literature and visual art. Their website offers you a quick and easy way to find a specific activity you are looking for.
