Armenia is becoming an increasingly popular destination for travelers. If you are planning to visit this country then Dilijan should be among the cities to visit. It is basically located in the forest, from all the corners surrounded by Dilijan National Park, which has a rich biodiversity, numerous mineral springs as well as natural and cultural monuments. Here you will become one with nature. Dilijan is a great place to get rid of daily problems and to dedicate some time to yourself. Hiking, cycling, climbing, paragliding, zip-lines and many more… This cozy spa and resort city has so many sites, attractions, restaurants and hotels that will satisfy all types of tourists.
In order to feel the spirit of the Old Dilijan better to go to Tufenkian Old Dilijan complex that is a small street where the hotel rooms are separate houses. In the Haykanoush restaurant of the complex, you can enjoy delicious Armenian food and homemade vodka (if you have not managed to try peach or apricot vodka yet, try it there).
In this complex, but the hotel, you can find craftsmen that make ceramic stuff and wooden souvenirs. There, with the help of craftsmen, you can make clay plates or cups and take it with you as a memory from this city or just buy something from the souvenir shop of the complex.

On the other side of the street, you will notice Caffeine Brew Lab that is a very popular place among those locals and internationals who like good coffee and nice sweets. In the evening it’s usually full and the atmosphere is great. After enjoying your coffee walk a bit on Myasnkyan Street and you will see several monuments, including the old open-air theater, as well as buildings left from the Soviet times decorated with nice ornaments and mosaics.
Dilijan is Selected as Part of UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities. Here are located UWC Dilijan International College that brought together students from all over the world as well as the branch of TUMO centre for creative technologies where teenagers from Dilijan and surrounding rural areas can develop their IT skills for free. The Dilijan Community Centre gives an opportunity to get non-formal education developing the community. Here young people gain additional skills and competencies. Should you wish to visit and see any of those places you can do that notifying them in advance.
