In general, Albania is a mountainous country and is one of the most mountainous countries in the world. About two thirds of it are either hilly or mountainous. The highest peak of the country is called Mount Korabi, 2,751 m above sea level. Mount Korabi makes the perfect place for alpinism enthusiasts and those who want to challenge themselves. Also, the cliffs of Llogara are a must for paragliding lovers and are internationally recognized as one of the best places in the Balkans for paragliding.

Albania has some of the world's best paths, trails, hikes and treks like those in the Ac[cursed Mountains](https://www.livetheworld.com/post/travelers-paradise-valbone-valley-national-park-r2e0) and Albanian Alps which became very famous after the discovery from the tourists and especially from the Byron's journey in Albania. There are aproximately around 22 hikes around the country so there's lot of outdoor opportunities waiting for you.
Osumi River is located in the southern Albania near Be[rat](https://www.livetheworld.com/post/discover-albania-gjirokastra-and-berat-0qeg). In the last years, this place has become very famous for the kayaking experience that it offers and one of the best touristic destinations. Gaze deep into the nature and explore the wilderness of Osumi canyon in an unforgetable kayaking adventure.

For me, camping is never too much. You either love it or hate it and I am very glad to be in the first group. I must say that camping for me it's a way to get closer to nature and to your own country. Albanian nature is breathtakingly beautiful and you have hundreds of places to just go, set up a tent and have an amazing time near the fire, alone or with a group of friends.
