The Singapore S.E.A Aquarium is one of the world’s largest aquariums, home to more than 100,000 amazing marine animals. At the aquarium, explore 10 exciting different zones, the Red Sea, South China Sea, Strait of Karimata and the Java Sea, Bay of Bengal and Laccadive Sea, East Africa, Strait of Malacca and Andaman Sea, Persian Gulf and the Arabian Sea, Shark Seas, Ocean Journey, and the Open Ocean. These zones showcase a wide variety of different habitats, and are both a fun and educational experience, delighting visitors with the spectacular beauty of the marine kingdom and its beautiful inhabitants.

Explore a marine wonderland

The exhibits at the Singapore S.E.A Aquarium are clean, well maintained, and attractively designed to showcase the full beauty of marine animals and their living environments. Wondrous animals live here, such as the Giant Pacific Octopus, the Giant Moray Eel, and a variety of sharks, such as the scalloped hammerhead shark, white tip reef shark, the tawny nurse shark, the grey reef shark, and the sandbar shark. At the Strait of Karimata & Java Sea, there is a man-made shipwreck that has become home for multiple schools of fishes. Also explore the corals which are the gardens of the ocean, where colourful fish dart in and out of the coral reefs in a burst of colour and spontaneous dance.

Experience the ocean around you in 360-degree view passageways. It is an awesome feeling to look up and see marine life swimming around and above you. There is a touch pool where visitors can feel the texture of starfish in a shallow pool, an activity very popular with children. Staff are on hand to ensure that animals are properly handled in a gentle way.

The star attraction of the Singapore S.E.A Aquarium would be the Open Ocean zone, which features a massive glass panel display that provides an insider's view of the marine kingdom. It is so therapeutic to watch and observe the marine life swimming by, and of course to spot the rare and unique animals such as Manta rays, Goliath Groupers, Napoleon Wrasses and sharks! The concept is to recreate the feeling of standing on the ocean floor, looking up at the watery world around you.

Ever wanted to watch sharks feeding? You can do so at the Singapore S.E.A Aquarium on Tuesdays and Thursdays when divers dressed in chainmail diving suits will descend into the tank. Besides that, there are also other fish feeding sessions at the Shipwreck, Coral Garden and Open Ocean habitats. These sessions are only held once a day, so be sure to check the schedule beforehand if you are interested to witness this!

Unique experiences

There are some very special experiences that visitors can have at the Singapore S.E.A Aquarium. One of the most exciting family excursions would probably be the Ocean Dreams sleepover experience which is an overnight activity hosted on scheduled days. Participants get to camp out in a tent at the Open Ocean Gallery, to witness marine life and their different nocturnal behaviours. Enjoy supper with the marine life before getting comfortable in your sleeping bag. In the morning, enjoy breakfast and then witness a special manta ray feeding session! It is definitely one of the coolest slumber parties you will ever have!

There is Shark Encounter, to get up close and personal with these apex predators from the safety of a submerged acrylic enclosure. For those who want to pick up diving, it is also possible to obtain your PADI Open Water Diver certificate here. If you do not yet have a diving license but still wish to explore the marine wonderland, opt for the Sea Trek® experience, which puts participants in a suit and helmet that allows breathing underwater. Explore the magnificent watery kingdom for yourself and be one with the marine life below. Aspiring aquarists or marine biologists may want to book the Aquarist for a day program, which will take you behind the scenes with a professional aquarist to learn about marine animal healthcare, tank cleaning, and food preparation. Do note that all these special activities require reservation beforehand, and have an additional fee.
