Nafplio

Greece

Tripoli is the capital of the region and it is located in the central part of Peloponnese. This region is really famous for the beautiful coastline that surrounds it. Not only that, but also a big legacy of plenty of flock that lived in the region. One of the most impressive city of the region is Sparta. In this city you will find museums about about the old spartans and also  Mystras, an old forteresse of the spartans, which is today part of  UNESCO World Heritage Site. There is also an other really old town in the region called Corinth. In this city you can feel all the ancient legacy of the region with the temple of Apollo, the ancient theatre and the Glauke Fountain.

Many call it the **“m*ost romantic”*** town in Greece, while others emphasise its **rich history** and **fascinating location.**

It is approximately **94 km** far from **Athens** and it can be reached either by car or by suburban buses departing regularly from **Kifissos bus station** in Athens.

Palamidi is a fortress to the east of the Acronauplia in the town of Nafplio in the Peloponnese region of southern Greece. Nestled on the crest of a 216-metre high hill, the fortress was built by the Venetians during their second occupation of the area (1686–1715).
