Grenen, Denmark's northernmost point

The Regelbau 638 is a German wartime bunker, which was part of the German military’s Atlantic wall in World War II. The bunker was used as an infirmary for the wounded German soldiers. Hence, Skagen is not only well known for the Grenen tip and the merging of the two seas, but it also known for its line of German bunkers along the West coast of Jutland.

Skagen has a well-known reputation for its arts and crafts. More specifically, some of the finest pottery and glasswork come from this region of Jutland. As you might have already guessed, there is an abundance of seafood in Skagen, which comes from the Skagen seaport. One of the cosiest spots is Pakhuset Restaurant, which used to be a fish warehouse, and is now a popular place especially in the summer time because of its outdoor terrace and a fine view of the harbour.**
