Happy Skiing in Czechia

With the ski season around the corner, most resorts and slopes in Czechia operate between the beginning of December and up until April (depending on the snow conditions of the season). The Krkonose mountain area is popular and well known for the abundance of ski resorts and slopes it offers. Located on the border with Poland, Krkonose has become famous "europewide" for its fantastic cross-country trails, which reach over 500 kilometres in distance. The ski slopes are well maintained and equipped with snow cannons providing excellent quality of snow- which you will definitely love as a skier. 

Spindleruv Mlyn

Spindleruv Mlyn is probably the most famous ski resort amongst Czechs and tourists. It is part of the Ski Arena Krkonose mountain area, where the good snow conditions do never disappoint, due to the high altitude of the region. Over the years, the resort has become popular for its après-ski atmosphere, including Czech beer, Jagertee (rum mixed with black tea) and other beverages. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced skier, you will be challenged by the variety and number of ski-slopes offered. An exciting snow park is also part of the resort, for all the snowboarding fans. 

Harrachov

Harrachov ski resort is located in Certova Hora and hosts a variety of winter sports, from ski jumping and cross-country racing, to downhill skiing. For the non-ski fans, Harrachov includes numerous other facilities, such as wellness and ice-skating; hence this resort has become a popular family destination. For any non-skiers, make sure you take the opportunity to visit the glass museum, as the local town is well known for its glass industry. 

Pec pod Snezkou

Pec pod Snezkou is a resort located on the highest mountain in Czechia, called Snezka, and is part of the Ski Arena Krkonose. This ski resort is a cosy destination with lots of social activities, from restaurants to fun après-ski entertainment. Snezka is known to be the snowiest region in Czechia, hence skiers can expect to enjoy a lot of fresh, powdery snow. Most importantly, compared to other destinations, most of the ski resorts in Czechia are rather affordable in their price range.
