If you have time to visit only one exhibition this summer in Paris that should be “In Tune with the World” at the Louis Vuitton Foundation (Fondation Louis Vuitton), an incredible building designed by the American architect Frank Gehry. This exhibition question today’s man’s place in the universe, highlighting interconnections between humans, animals, plants and minerals. Absolutely incredible and breathtaking! To visit from April 11th to August 27th, 2018.

The exhibition

The exhibition “In the Tune with the World” brings to light nearly 30 artists in a hanging that brings together modern and contemporary works and it is organized in two complementary parts. The first part is an immersion into the world of Japanese artist Takashi Murakami and it is organized in three sequences: one centered on the artist’s alter ego DOB, a second is The Octopus Eats its Own Leg, a monumental fresco and a third sequence is featuring the Kawaii (“cute” in Japanese) aesthetic. The second part of exhibition,* called Man in the Living Universe,* brings together 28 French and international artists from different generations and techniques. This part stretches throughout the other three levels of the building, as well as the exterior and comprises also three themes: Irradiances, Here, Infinitely and The Man Who Capsizes.

The building

The Louis Vuitton Foundation is open in October 2014 at the reported cost of 143 million dollars. This admiring building was designed by the American architect Franck Gehry, best-known for it works that includes Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and Walt Disney Concert Hall in Lost Angeles.
