Lake Parz (Parz Lich) into which numerous mountain sprigs flow, is a small lake located in Dilijan National Park, Tavush Region of Armenia and covers an area of two hectares. Everyone who visits Dilijan also takes a chance to go to the lake. The road that takes you there passes through dense forest. Some people also hike there as the road to the lake is very nice and full of numerous plants and trees that are typical for this region.
The Lake Parz is located at the altitude of 1400 meters above sea level. Its color is green. “Parz” in Armenian means clear/pure. The lake looks amazing in any weather. White wild ducks that swim in the dark lake complete the view and make it fairy.

But being a nice and calm place where you can spend a couple of hours reading a book, doing yoga or sleeping under an open sky Lake Parz also offers travelers several fun activities. Though it's not allowed to swim in the lake you can still get from one side to another on a boat. On the other hand, Parz Lake Extreme Park offers you to spend nice time by experiencing zip-line that passes over the lake. This is a unique opportunity to enjoy the bird’s-eye view. Another exciting and fun activity is the rope park, much liked both by kids and by adults, where you’ll need to overcome obstacles prepared by them.

There are also some other options to have fun- riding four-wheeled motorcycles, fishing (that is an activity liked by many tourists) or camping. The last one is great for those who can afford themselves to spend more time by the lake and enjoy the morning and evening views of the lake that are very different. Do not forget to take with you your cameras to shoot each nice moment.

After experiencing all the above mentioned you can have a bit rest at the open air cafe right nearby the Lake Parz, that offers traditional food and delicious sweets (I would recommend trying Bakhlava that is a Middle Eastern pastry also very popular in Armenia). Almost in all the cafes of Armenia, including in this one, you can try awesome tea made with local herbs that will warm you up. Especially by the Lake Parz in the mornings and in the evenings when it’s a bit colder. Those who are not interested in cafes can bring their own food and have a picnic right by the lake.
