All of us deserve a good vacation, now and then, right? With the same thought in mind, I headed to Goa from Mumbai in India. Leaving Mumbai's chaos and cacophony is always a luxury. And entering Goa was sheer bliss. The flight from Mumbai to Goa was quick and relaxing. The views were enticing too as my eyes constantly enjoyed views of deep blue waters of the Arabian Sea. One sight of Goa, and you will be transported to some dreamy land, lined by coconut and palm trees everywhere. From the airport, there are government-run taxis, easily available through the mobile app 'Goa Miles', which easily takes you around Goa. Similarly, rented cars/ scooters are available at affordable prices, which are also good options to roam around the beautiful city. So, head over! Livin' la Vida Loca at Candolim Beach awaits you.

The Goan vibe

Goa is not just a city but represents a unique vibe. Four hundred and fifty years of rule by the Portuguese heavily influenced the region's culture, cuisine, architecture and even the vibe. Walking through Goan alleys doesn't feel as if this place belongs to India. It seems as if you have entered some Portuguese village and are surrounded by mesmerizing bungalows, tiny houses with stunning architecture and colours

North Goa I visited is quite hot and happening. The nightlife is always buzzing, with tourists enjoying their food and drinks till the wee hours. Additionally, to keep tourists entertained and hooked, almost all cafes and restaurants offer live music, which makes the overall experience livelier. There is a mind-boggling range of cuisines to choose from - Italian, American, Thai, Continental, Indian and even more along with several discounts on drinks. If you love food and your drinks, hop on the joy ride in Goa. On Saturday nights especially, the main Candolim market and the restaurants look different. Everything is all decked for the weekend party mode, enticing tourists and everyone else to enjoy.

There is no dearth of exciting wardrobe options for shopaholics in Goa. From bikinis in myriad colours to myriad forms, the options are endless. There is no reason water lovers will complain. Additionally, other street stalls selling interesting clothes, kurtas, shorts, skirts are quite popular with tourists. You can also buy pure cashew nut as well as its variations in several sweet and savoury forms. The Goan cashew nut is very famous, so definitely give this one a try, but eat it in moderation as it induces more heat in the body. Other things that you can shop for include handicrafts, quirky fridge magnets, to-die-for jewellery, books and quintessential Goa clothes (which I fell in love with).

Candid fun at Candolim Beach

The Candolim Beach is quite beautiful and peaceful with several makeshift restaurants and bars, also known as shacks, which are often stacked with Indian and foreign tourists. Ample of seafood options are available here along with refreshing mocktails and other liquor-based drinks. You can spend non-stop hours at the beach without getting bored. The sun, the sand and the whole vibe around North Goa offer you a revitalizing break. Tourists spend hours admiring the sun, chilling with their friends while enjoying their drinks or just indulging in their candle-lit delicious meals.

Water sports

If you love adventure, do not forget to try water activities such as scuba diving, snorkeling, banana boat ride amongst other available water activities. So, the real adventure awaits you in Goa. Pack your bags and get set for livin' la Vida Loca at Candolim Beach in Goa. And after all that fun, I suggest** you relax at the nearby Sinquerium Beach.**
