Every first weekend of the month there’s nothing better to do than spending an entire afternoon at the creative market Palo Alto in Poble Nou. Located inside a botanical garden, surrounded by beautiful plants and decorated with fairy lights, you can discover local designers and their unique products in fashion, jewellery and interior design – all that with a cold drink in your hand and live music in your ear – Barcelona at its best!
The live music program of Palo Alto is always a highlight and features mostly local artists. In the Aperol Spritz Club, a tent in the middle of the botanical garden, you can enjoy the finest singers & songwriters or later at night DJ’s with some good electronic beats. There are also some intimate concerts all around the market, in the shades of the trees, underlining your creative market experience with smooth background music.

Let’s be honest: If there’s food, I’ll be there, too. And the big food market at Palo Alto is already a reason enough to check it out! Especially after a wild Friday night, the variety of food trucks will cure every hangover. Whether you want juicy burgers, cheesy nachos, Asian fusion or healthy vegan food: you’ll surely be satisfied. And if you’re a sweet tooth you’ll be happy to find homemade cakes, fruity ice creams and fresh juices.

Last but not least, let’s not forget what the Palo Alto market really is about: creative design! The diverse selection of local designers offers not only fashion and accessories, but also jewellery, art and interior design. You can shop street fashion at the open air market, designer products for your home at the Boheme Gallery, premium brands at the Concept Gallery and handmade crafts at the Design Gallery. All that in addition to workshops, drinks, food and music! Can a weekend in Barcelona get any better?
