For the sixth time, the popular extreme sports event takes place in this "16000 inhabitants" town. It offers probably one of the most impressive spectacles for the athletes, as well as for the audience; In fact that’s the reason why Polignano a Mare was chosen for the big finale and the award ceremony of the "World Cliff Diving Series". The athletes get through a private living room to a 27 and a 21-meter-high platform and jump into the blue waters of the Adria.

Thousand of visitors are coming every year to the small so[uth-Italian](https://www.livetheworld.com/post/top-4-reasons-to-visit-apulia-uci6) town to watch the extraordinary event and soak up the unique atmosphere of Polignano. Many of the houses of the historical center are built directly on the cliffs and the pretty beach of the town is the perfect viewpoint for watching the daring stunts of the Red Bull Cliff Divers.
