If you are the kind of person that usually likes spending time doing some clothes shopping while visiting a city (like me), then you should keep reading - because you are about to find out about cool and modern shopping centres in (from my point of view) the nicest part of this beautiful Mediterranean city where I currently live.

Some people may think that it does not make much sense spending time shopping if you have a limited amount of time in a city, but I actually think that clothes shopping can be the perfect activity to do when you want to have a break from sightseeing, and get to know more about the fashion of the country (if you are into fashion). On top of this, you always have pieces of clothing that become part of your wardrobe and bring you memories from the place, which is a feeling that I really like. Shopping centres nowadays are designed for people to relax and to have everything they need in the same building, and they are usually located in nice settings. So, in this story, I am going to tell you about two shopping centres located by the City of Arts and Sciences Valencia, which I consider very unique since so far I have not seen this type of stunning architecture and design in other cities.

The City of Arts and Sciences is an entertainment-based cultural and architectural complex in Valencia, one of the most important modern tourist destinations in the city and one of the 12 treasures of Spain. On both sides of this complex, you find two big shopping centres: Aqua and El Saler.

Aqua Shopping Centre

Aqua is the shopping centre where I almost always go to when I want to have a break and relax while doing some shopping, because I always find what I like there. My favourite aspect about the building is how open it is and its views over the City of Arts and Sciences  and there are more than 100 shops and leisure facilities as well as free parking. I also love the wide range of cool restaurants and cool places to eat there, most of them with great views. It is not the biggest shopping centre in Valencia, but in my opinion, one of the most beautiful and most practical ones, as it is located in the new area of the city with easy access to the historical centre, the port and the beach

El Saler Shopping Centre

El Saler is the other shopping centre opposite to the City of Arts and Sciences that also connects the city with the** beach area of El Saler. This shopping centre is bigger than Aqua, and it has 3 floors and a Mediterranean decor and more than 160 stores. Carrefour hypermarket is located on the first floor of the centre, where you can taste the best Valencian and Spanish products**.
