During the Winter Olympic Games in 1984, Mount Jahorina gained a worldwide popularity, as it hosted the Women’s Alpine skiing competitions. Three decades later, it continues to follow the path of Olympic glory developing its offer and attractions. The ski season lasts between December and April, thanks to plentiful of natural snowfall. With eight lifts, this mountain can host more than 8,000 skiers per hour.
Bosnian true snowy wonderland with its stunning beauty is also ideal for winter hiking. Actually, conquering the highest peak Ogorjelica is not that demanding. Even less experienced hikers can do it in 1,5 hours. When on the top, you will enjoy a breath-taking view on the surrounding mountains. And when the visibility is good, you can see even the glimpses of Mount Zlatibor (Serbia) and Mount Durmitor (Montenegro).
