Relatively quiet city in winter becomes an extremely vibrant and dynamic centre with many modern nightclubs and parties under the open sky during warm seasons.

In the northeast of the country, there is the city of Kharkiv, that was the capital of Ukraine during the period of the Soviet Union. It is the second largest city in Ukraine. It is a huge scientific and industrial centre. It maintained a strict monumental architecture and greatness of the Soviet Union period.

The most attractive tourist destinations are situated in the western part of Ukraine, with the largest number of UNESCO World Heritage sites to offer.
