Imagine you wake up one bright Sunday in the beautiful Belgian capital city. You are ready to start your day and discover the best Brussels can offer. You are wondering what is the most socially acceptable time to start drinking beer, eating fries and tasting delicious Belgian chocolate. But then you realize something is missing. You feel ready for a nice, indulgent cup of coffee, in a cosy, lovely place with a great view. Even if you know the city a bit and head towards the city center, the choice of coffee places is so huge so instead of the desired caffeine shot you will receive an instant headache. But do not despair! Allow me to present you one of the loveliest, coziest places in the heart of Brussels, in the Petit Sablon area, the  best cup of coffee Café du Sablon in Brussels.

You probably wonder why I connect Sunday with this lovely Café du Sablon. Well, not only because my girlfriends and I have been having a ritual of sipping coffee on a Sunday afternoon and laughing so loud that the rest of the café gets extremely annoyed, but because Sunday in this café is simply perfect- it is just so calm and peaceful. If you are a sleepy head and you decide to have your morning coffee in Café du Sablon, you have made the right choice as their coffee and espresso will definitely give you the necessary caffeine kick.

However, if you have a sweet tooth and you would like to indulge on a Sunday (because it is a must), then I would strongly recommend their dessert coffee. The choice is huge so you name it – you can pick vanilla with ice-cream, oreo with whipped cream, caramel, chocolate, moka etc. Trust me, it will be the hardest choice you will have to make there. Just a small warning - the dessert, which comes with different flavours, is quite heavy and sweet, so you can totally split it with your friend. The coffee price range is usually from 3 to 5 euros. And if you are hungry, there is a variety of sweets and desserts, some of which are even vegan (no calories, right?).

It is not only the most amazing coffee that makes this place so wonderful and unique, but the overall warm atmosphere of Café Sablon. You will be surprised to see the interior, as it is seemingly very small yet has plenty of tables that are quite close to each other. Also, various chairs of different shapes and colors which seemingly do not belong together yet somehow make a perfect combination.

In case you would like to get some work done, or simply read some newspapers, there are quieter tables in the corner of the café, with a fast WiFi connection and several journals available. The best part of it all – an amazing view! If you are having your Sunday treat inside or in the outdoor area of Café du Sablon, you will enjoy in the most wonderful view at Petit Sablon area of Brussels.
