Tambaba, Paraíba's nudist beach

Nudist beaches are not really common in Brazil. Actually, there are not too many places you can enjoy this kind of body freedom in. However, in Paraíba, there is one unique place: Tambaba Beach. Even if you are a more conservative person, I would recommend going to this place, mostly for its beauty.  The beach is way more than just a pure naturalist beach. One of the main attractions of the place, especially for those who like to take photographs, is a coconut tree that has grown a rock located in the sea. Plus, the color of the water and the vegetation create a fantastic landscape.

Tambaba beach belongs to the municipality of Conde, Paraíba, in the Northeastern Region of Brazil, and itself is already amazing. Surrounded by rocks and cliffs, the only way to get in or out is through a controlled entrance. There you have to respect the beach's rules - they are very strict about this. Since 2004, the Municipality established standards for the entry of bathers, so be aware that if you do not follow all the etiquette, you can even go to jail.

In the area of naturism - this part is isolated, separated by a portal- everything is very well organized and everyone respectful. There are several rules for those who choose the area where naturism is practiced. First, it is forbidden to wear any piece of clothing or clothing that is incompatible with naturism - not in all the beach, but in the nudist zone, it is obligatory to be naked. It is not allowed to photograph or film naked people without their consent. Animals are not allowed at all. Plus, remember that unaccompanied men (without any woman) cannot enter the area. Constraints on naturists are not allowed, as are the practice of gestures, actions, and proposals that lead to sexual connotations. And, all of these are supervised by 'agents' who patrol the beach.

What to do

Tambaba also offers the Surf Festival and Tambaba Fest. These events take place in the region during the second half of the year. By the way, the surf competition in Tambaba is the only one in the world that is practiced in total nudity. If you do not want to stay at any restaurant there, just enjoy the beach closely! A beach tent service is offered, which includes an umbrella, two chairs, and a side table, with a cost of 20 reais (or so five euros). Out of the beach, there is also the buggy (an open car type) ride option available to visitors. This tour costs around 60 reais (or so 15 euros) per person and lasts about an hour and a half, going through dunes and little villages.

How to get there

Taking the highway PB-08, it is about 30 km from João Pessoa to the municipality of Conde. For those who go by bus, ideally, go to João Pessoa and let** the driver know and drop you at the entrance of the municipality of Conde**. Then just take the local buses and vans that take tourists to Tambaba beach.

Do not miss out on visiting Tambaba, Paraíba's nudist beach. Feel free and enjoy nature at its finest!
