Before moving to Belgium and thriving into its culture, I would tell you that the only thing that came instantly to mind when someone mentioned “B[elgium”](https://www.livetheworld.com/post/some-belgium-itinari-picks-thsm) was Tomorrowland. What’s Belgium famous for after all? Is it its delicious fries? Its waffles & chocolates? Its history? Its national football team? Its cosmopolitan and multicultural population? Well sure…, all these things! But if you go ahead and ask someone outside Europe what’s Belgium famous for, the answer would most likely be “T[omorrowland”.](https://www.livetheworld.com/post/tomorrowland-s-theme-2018-the-story-of-planaxis-9n3m) Simply that. One word, one idea. And it’s no doubt true!
Many people claim that Tomorrowland has put Belgium in the global map and personally after checking some stats, I wouldn’t argue with that! Thousands of people from all over the world travel each year to attend Europe’s biggest festival! If you feel like talking numbers, just think that Tomorrowland besides the festival’s tickets, offers its “Global Journey packages” and Brussels Airlines have almost 140 additional flights from 67 different cities around the world to get festival goers with 214 different nationalities to Boom, Belgium! Just wow!
The past 3 years the festival’s passes sell out in 35 minutes, so if you get one yeah, you can consider yourself LUCKY! I still remember myself logging in and waiting for the tickets to be released…it’s crazy how your screen starts shaking (is it the excitement, is it the stress..who knows) when the “buy” button turns green.
What makes Tomorrowland that special is probably its people! The People of Tomorrow. The people who believe in enjoying life to the fullest without having to compromise everything. The people who are responsible for the generation of tomorrow and respect each other and Mother Nature. The people who engage with each other and do something good today, for which they will be grateful for tomorrow. The people who are ready to party like there’s no tomorrow!
The DreamVille is a vibrant city that welcomes tens of thousands festival visitors every year. In fact, it’s the festival city where the People of Tomorrow eat, sleep and recharge their batteries! As you can guess, it’s obviously the primary place to forge international friendships, and share your Tomorrowland experience with multiple people of different personalities! The Dreamville offers multiple types of accommodation; from tents to bungalows and a lot more! Tomorrowland’s organisers have predicted everything and have an answer to every visitor’s budget and necessities.
At the same time, food stands from around the world, BBQ areas, a supermarket, a teahouse, a fresh bakery, a butcher’s shop, and whatever comes to mind, can be found within the DreamVille’s area!
Since it all started back in 2005, Tomorrowland has gone onto reach the pinnacle of dance music, showcasing only the very best DJs, attracting this way electronic music aficionados from all over the world. Spanning over 15 stages, expect all dance music bases to be covered; name a Dj and you’ll probably find him playing in there. Name a dance music base, EDM, house, techno and yes again Tomorrowland has it.
