If you live in Tu[rin ](https://www.livetheworld.com/post/museums-of-torino-ynr9)and its surroundings, or if you are near Turin during the scorching summer, you will undoubtedly feel the need to take a refreshing bath. Yes, but ... the sea is far away, the pools are too noisy ... so, we give you some alternatives to spend a regenerating day in nature taking a nice bath around Torino and its beaches.

Parco del Meisino

For those who want to stay in the city, there is the "Spiaggia dell'Amicizia," in Meisino Park. The Meisino Park is among the 12 protected areas of the Po Torinese Park. "Spiaggia dell'Amicizia" is just outside the city center, and is characterized by the presence of a sandy loop, wide enough to call it "a beach." Here come families with children to relax and spend a day with their feet in the water. Not far away, there is the road that leads to the Ba[silica of Superga](https://www.livetheworld.com/post/superga-and-the-great-torino-hlua).

Goja del Pis

A few kilometers from Tu[rin](https://www.livetheworld.com/post/when-in-turin-don-t-miss-the-bicerin-s4cp), in the Municipality of Almese, there are ponds carved into the rock, with small waterfalls. One of these is the Goja del Pis, a small pond surrounded by rock walls from which a waterfall of about 15 meters descends. The pond is not very deep. With clear freshwater, it is the ideal place to find some refreshment and spend a few quiet hours in nature, while bathing. The pond can be reached on foot via a path in the Val di Messa.

Cascata di Fondo

Fondo is a small and characteristic Pi[edmontese ](https://www.livetheworld.com/post/spend-a-night-in-a-treehouse-in-piedmont-ajsj)village in the province of Turin, with stone houses, where you can breathe the atmosphere of ancient times. The name Fondo derives from the fact that this village is located right at the end of the valley (fondo). In the hamlet of Traversella, there is the waterfall, dominated by an ancient bridge. In the small lake below the waterfall, in summer, it is possible to swim in the midst of pristine nature and crystal clear green water. In the village of Fondo, there is also a small restaurant where you can taste typical Piedmontese dishes.

Orrido di Sant’Anna

In the municipality of Cannobio, the Cannobino torrent has carved the rocks forming numerous inlets with real ponds, ideal for a refreshing swim. One of these is undoubtedly the Orrido di Sant’Anna, with green and crystalline water. In summer, the water reaches a temperature of 15-18 degrees, so it remains quite cool and suitable only for the most daring people. Here you can also go diving, as the maximum depth is 25 meters. A small medieval bridge overlooks the Orrido, and can only be crossed on foot. The church of Sant’Anna is worth a visit. It is located at the top of the walls of the Orrido and can be seen from the pond. This small church dates back to 1683 and houses an ancient frescoed chapel dedicated to the Madonna di Loreto.

The "Tumpi" of Bobbio Pellice

In Bobbio Pellice, not far from Pinerolo, there are the so-called "tumpi": deep natural pools along the waterways. In particular, the Guichard stream forms pools of fresh water where you can swim. There are also some places where you can dive, but it is always recommended to check the depth of the pool before.

Lake Sirio

On the shore of Lake Sirio, located between Chiaverano and Ivrea, about an hour from Turin, there is a real resort, complete with an equipped beach, bar and restaurant, and a camping area. There are plenty of umbrellas, deckchairs, and beach services. The absolute protagonist is the lake with its clear and transparent waters.
