Apulia has many great cities to visit, from small dr[eamy coastal towns](https://www.livetheworld.com/post/a-stroll-in-trani-between-a-lively-port-and-ancient-history-u8kt), to ba[roque](https://www.livetheworld.com/post/lecce-experience-the-city-s-unique-charm-z0vb) centers, and to  me[tropoles](https://www.livetheworld.com/post/university-of-bari-aldo-moro-a-short-guide-to-the-student-life-sh3m) on the beach. But occasionally, you just need to take some time off civilisation and reconnect with nature. What would be better for peaceful day than a coast line with huge white washed stones standing out of crystal clear waters?!

Torre Sant'Andrea is a natural paradise on the Adriatic side of the Sa[lento](https://www.livetheworld.com/post/the-best-beaches-in-salento-lmpg) peninsula, the southern part of A[pulia.](https://www.livetheworld.com/post/top-4-reasons-to-visit-apulia-uci6) It is easily reached by car and has a free big parking space, right in front of the main coastal section. It is a short 10-minute drive away from the stunning natural pool “G[rotta della Poesia”](https://www.livetheworld.com/post/grotta-della-poesia-the-most-beautiful-natural-pool-in-apulia-yge2) and 5 minutes from the famous beach of To[rre dell’Orso - ](https://www.livetheworld.com/post/the-best-beaches-in-salento-lmpg)you should definitely use the proximity factor in your favor, to visit all of these picturesque places.

The coast section of Torre Sant'Andrea is mostly untouched nature and perfect for a calm afternoon walk or a picnic while enjoying the view. Often you can observe fishermen while angling their daily catches. Even on warm summer days it never gets too crowded and you can fully enjoy the peaceful and pretty nature. There are even stairs leading to platforms with sea access. Especially in summertime daredevils use the beautiful coast for daring cliff jumps. Since the water is mostly quite deep, you should consider bringing a floaty, so you can carefree let the water carry you.

If going for swimming and strolling through nature is not enough action for you, adrenaline junkies and sports enthusiasts also have the possibility to explore the area with a motocross bike or quad. For more info about this fun experience visit: www.salentoquad.it/contatti_i.asp

After refuelling your batteries in the nature with a relaxed stroll or a refreshing swim, you should definitely visit Otranto for an aperitivo or even f[or dinner](https://www.livetheworld.com/post/apulian-cuisine-ihzk). The port town has a wonderful beach and many small restaurants hidden in a maze of cobblestone streets. It is just a 20-minute drive from Torre Sant'Andrea and the perfect place to let the day on the Adriatic site of Salento, end.
