Lviv is an ancient city which combines the architecture of different styles, historical periods and cultures. A simple walk through the streets of the old city will unfold to you dramatic Gothic architecture, Renaissance gorgeous buildings, gold and greatness of the Baroque period. However, if you already have discovered Lviv ordinarily, I have a great suggestion for you. Let’s discover the cultural capital of Ukraine from the height. I prepared for you the top 3 Lviv observation decks with unforgettable views.

Sts. Olha and Elizabeth Church

Lviv is the cultural capital of Ukraine with a large number of beautiful temples. One of the most impressive churches and the highest monument in Lviv is the Sts. Olha and Elizabeth Church. The temple is 88 meters high. It was built in 1911 as a vivid example of the neo-Gothic style cathedral. Sts. Olha and Elizabeth Church was built in memory of the popular empress Elizabeth of Bavaria, known as Sisi. The majestic architecture draws the attention of tourists, and now everybody can visit the observation deck. You can enjoy the beautiful views of the temple high spires and the old Lviv streets.

The Lviv City Hall

The Lviv City Hall is an administrative building in the central city, and it is the current seat of the Lviv City Council. You need to be full of strength and energy when you start climbing to the top of the central city tower. Some 364 wooden tower steps lie between you and the top of the city hall. From the height of 65 meters - the Big Ben of Lviv, you will see a picturesque panorama of the city's central streets, especially the colorful buildings of Rynok Square. You will have the opportunity to see the old clock mechanism from the inside (it is about 160 years old) and make many beautiful pictures.

The High Castle

“I agree, it is high, but where is the castle?” This question arises for almost every tourist who goes for a walk to the High Castle. Actually, this is a park located on the territory of a former fortress. Only a few pieces of the defensive fence left nowadays. Today, it is an incredibly beautiful park area with two observation zones. In order to get to the highest point of Lviv, you need to climb to a height of 413 meters above the sea level. This place is very much popular among not only tourists but also residents of the city. It is a great place for walks. Sunset and sunrise here are especially beautiful. You can see people celebrating there or street musicians who will make you enjoy Ukrainian music. I hope my top 3 Lviv observation decks will pleasantly surprise you with their unforgettable views
