Good morning and welcome to Podgorica! I'll take you around the town like I take any of my friends who come to visit. Before we start let's have a breakfast in one of my favorite places - Pizzeria Ćošak, a place with a long history, where you can eat amazing priganice, a perfect meal to give us the energy for the rest of the day!

Once we are full, we'll start our walk through Hercegovacka street - main pedestrian area, all the way to my favorite bridge above the river Moraca - The Hanging bridge! Its name is not a coincidence, this bridge is actually moving a bit while you walk. You can feel the most intense vibrations when you are in the middle of it.

Just across the bridge and we have already reached another part of the town - Preko Morace (literally translated -On the other side of Moraca). From here, let's visit The King Nikola's palace and check what's on the program as there is always an exhibition open for the public. Just outside of the building we can enjoy in peaceful park where as a child I was plucking violets with my grandma.

Walking further, the road itself will take us to the business area of Podgorica - The Capital Plaza and its surroundings.

If you now feel like having a break, I'll show you a little charming bar Zrno (The Coffee Bean) where you can choose from all the variety of coffee and tea. My personal recommendation is 'Deutsch' cafe or Mocha with dark chocolate and Fruit Tea called Rum Jamaica.

After the break we should go back to the city center 'cause there is an old part of the town I want you to see. Skaline or Sastavci, on the river Moraca bank, is the historic place where the oldest bridge in Podgorica can be seen. Skaline were a favorite meeting point of many generations. From here, couple of stairs bring us up to Stara Varos (Old Town), the oldest part of Podgorica. It's not the shiniest area of the capital, but it can be interesting to see old stone houses, our mosque and the narrow curvy streets.

It's not a coincidence that I showed you this part of the town just before the lunch. My intention was to take you to a very popular national restaurant near Sahat Kula (Clock Tower). Restaurant Pod Volat (Under the Arch) and give you the opportunity to choose from all variety of Montenegrin meals.

After lunch we usually drink small coffee and since we all feel sleepy after the lunch it's either to go to sleep or to use the rest of the day. I would definitely say 'Carpe Diem' and take you to Gorica hill, our favorite place to enjoy in nature, take a slow walk and breathe some fresh air.

And theeen... yes, I understand you are already tired. Don't worry, I'll give you some free time, but reserve the night for Bokeska street. I'll pick you up at 10 pm and show you interesting nightlife in the city. You can try some rakia or one of the many Montenegrin wines. However, I promise you a great and friendly night! See you soon!
