The best Flea market in Barcelona

Here’s a fantastic thing about big cities. They all have open markets. They have those places where individuals sell antique stuff or weird stuff that you don’t find in the “normal” shops. The best Flea market you can find is the Paral-lel Fleamarket. Or Fleadonia if you like. Zlata has a Belgradian version of open markets. It includes food and stuff. It's called ''Open markets Belgrade''.

If you want an old-school camera then a flea market is good for you. The shops don't sell this anymore. That's why we need very private people who're allowed to sell their stuff. Just think of vintage things you need. Tape recorder. DV-tape. Old-school pencils. VHS. DVD. Blue Ray. They have these things in the Flea market.

A flea market is a museum of people's previous choices. This is not the biggest Barcelona Flea market. The biggest is the Encants flea market. Flea market of Paral-lel is the best flea market.

I wanted to find a mind-blowing market with a relaxed attitude and without too much attention on food. A market with objects and I am not looking for food. I want to see old war objects and things like this. there were 1000 different people who had things to sell. Old things they had gathered through life. From Children toys to Spanish maps.

For something more relaxed you have slow paced stands in the La Rambla street. It is not relaxed in regards to pocket thieves, however. In Barcelona, you find old war objects from the Spanish civil war and military things. That’s the good part of Catalonia and Spain that you will find Catalunian objects and Spanish objects. They have old coca-cola commercials for sale, maps, classic comic books and comic book figures. The Catalonian market is filled with Catalonian people and they most likely don’t speak English. A lot do. Just learn a few numbers in Spanish and Catalan and you can negotiate. It’s very well positioned in the city too. Have your mind taken back to the 40s, 50s, 70s, and 80s. You start picking a little Batman figure from the original comic book and end up with a miniature sailboat, 3 different maps of regions of Spain, an IBM advertisement, and a pair of fancy 1940s war fashion glasses of Germany.

It's open Sundays 10.00 - 19.00
