Munich -which is probably known for its annual beer fest- is the largest city in the south of Germany and also where BMW was born! It is one of the most beautiful cities in Germany with plenty of museums, architecture and of course culture! Munich is also known as the “northernmost city of Italy” for no reason. The inhabitants of Munich love to enjoy the great weather in cute cafes while sipping their coffee. So, if you want to learn more about their "coffee drinking tradition" here is your guide!

If you’ve ever been to Munich, you should have come across the name Dallmayr, a famous coffeehouse, and roaster. If you want to taste their famous coffee, you can visit the Delikatessenhaus in the Dienerstraße! This classically elegant Café-Bistro has a great relaxing atmosphere, and you can enjoy typical Dallmayr delicacies throughout the day. From breakfast to a quick stop for homemade cakes and tarts, Dallmayr Café-Bistro's menu is simply amazing. In addition to exquisite Dallmayr coffee and tea specialties, you can also enjoy aperitifs, fine wines, and champagne. For breakfast, you can order from bircher muesli and fruit salad to beetroot hummus and avocado. If you feel "fancy", you can even order duck liver cream and smoked salmon. At lunchtime, you can taste delicious fish dishes, soups, pasta, meat dishes and of course desserts. After lunch, you can taste the in-house coffee specialties, made by first-class Italian espresso machines at the bar. And let's not forget the most important point; you can enjoy your coffee/breakfast/cake along with the legendary view of Munich's most famous landmark, the Frauentürme

If you are at the Glockenbach district, you should head to Man vs. Machine at Muellerstrasse 23. The whole concept of Man vs. Machine is so cool. You can basically choose your side; a fruity explosion of flavours brewed by “the man” through the method of your choice, or “ the machine” to extract the perfect espresso shot for your beverage! The interior of this place is small and decorated with Scandinavian elements and fabulous artworks. Their knowledgeable staff and friendly service is definitely a plus too.

Located very close to the famous ViktualienmarktVits der Kaffee stands out with its unique style. This coffeehouse might be the oldest coffeehouse which offers both classic-style coffees and a large variety of "special" coffees from all around the world! That's why the coffeehouse is divided in two parts; the classic coffeehouse, which follows the German tradition offering cake and coffee, and a modern part, which specializes in direct sourcing and trading; it's also where courses are held, and filter coffees brewed with a large variety of gears, are served!
