MUDE is a place not just for fashion and design lovers! It sits among the busy streets of Baixa de Lisboa, and works with a peculiar concept. Besides holding a permanent collection and organizing exhibitions, debates, workshops and other events, it is a place of relection on art, design, industrial practices and contemporary issues. It also collaborates with artists, architects and designers, to continually renew the place and experiment with the idea of what a museum should be.

This museum is located in the lovely Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian area, in Avenidas Novas. There are two collections: the Founder's Collection, with pieces from ancient to modern periods, and the Modern Collection, that follows Portugal's art history from the XXth century to this day. There are always interesting events and debates taking place too, and if you need to take a break from the art, you can enjoy the amazing gardens!

Created very recently, MAAT is a particular museum spanning two buildings by the Tejo river: the Central Tejo and the MAAT building itself. Together, they hold the art collection of the EDP Foundation, with national and international works from the 60's onwards, and promote the exhibition, dialog and rethinking of contemporary artistic expressions and the communion of art, technology and architecture. Its envolving area is also worth of note, with priviledged sights of the river and urban landscape.
